Fujiyama Power Systems has commissioned a new 2,000 MW solar panel manufacturing facility at Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh. This greenfield project increases the company's total solar panel manufacturing capacity to 3,568 MW. The facility will initially operate at approximately 1,000 MW under single-shift operation, ramping up to full capacity by Q4 FY27. Meanwhile, the inverter and battery manufacturing lines at the same facility experienced delays due to incorporation of latest lithium-ion battery technology and geopolitical supply chain issues. The inverter line is now expected to commission in Q1 FY27 and the battery line in Q2 FY27.
This commissioning strengthens Fujiyama's manufacturing scale and backward integration in the solar sector, positioning it better to capture India's growing rooftop solar market. However, the delays in inverter and battery lines indicate execution challenges, and investors should monitor ramp-up progress and timelines for the remaining lines.
