GAIL has pushed back the completion deadline for its Srikakulam Angul Pipeline Project by about six months, from June 2025 to December 2025. The 744 km pipeline consists of a 422 km main line (fully mechanically completed, commissioning underway) and a 322 km spur line (252 km lowered so far). The spur line work has been held up mainly due to delays in getting forest clearances — only 45 km of working permission has been received out of the 56 km required. The Board approved the revised timeline on June 23, 2025. No additional investment is required for this revision.
