GAIL (India) Limited signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Khanij Bidesh India Limited (KABIL) on July 17, 2026, to collaborate in critical and strategic minerals. The pact covers identifying opportunities, exchanging technical expertise, capacity building, and joint initiatives across the mining value chain to support resource security and clean energy transition. KABIL is a joint venture of three CPSEs, namely NALCO, Hindustan Copper, and MECL. GAIL is India's integrated energy major with presence across the natural gas value chain.
Strategic diversification into critical minerals, supportive of long-term resource security, but early-stage MoU with no immediate financial impact.
