GE Vernova T&D India Limited's Board has approved an investment of INR 550 Million to create new manufacturing capacity for Disconnectors and Drives for 362 kV Dead Tank Circuit Breakers at a greenfield facility in Vallam, Tamil Nadu. Currently, the company has zero capacity for these products. The expansion will be completed in phases, with first production expected by December 2026 (tentative). The investment will be funded through internal accruals. The company plans to serve both domestic and international markets with these products, targeting growing demand for power transmission equipment.
This greenfield expansion into new product categories (Disconnectors and Drives) signals management's confidence in sustained demand for high-voltage transmission equipment, potentially expanding revenue streams in domestic and export markets.
