GK Energy has received a Letter of Award from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company for setting up 150 MW / 300 MWh Battery Energy Storage Systems. The project, won through tariff-based global competitive bidding with VGF support, carries a tariff of about Rs 2,38,000 per MW per month, generating roughly Rs 42.84 Crore in yearly revenue (excluding GST) for 15 years from the date of commercial operations. This marks GK Energy's entry into the BESS segment, diversifying beyond its core solar agricultural pumping business into storage and rooftop solar.
