GSK India has launched two advanced oncology drugs in the country, marking its entry into the oncology segment. Jemperli (dostarlimab) is India's first and only approved PD-1 immunotherapy for second-line treatment of dMMR/MSI-H advanced endometrial cancer, with clinical trials showing a 45.5% objective response rate. Zejula (niraparib) is the only once-daily oral PARP inhibitor approved in India for first-line maintenance treatment of advanced ovarian cancer across all biomarker types. The company is also introducing 'Phoenix', a patient support program to help patients access these therapies. Both drugs are already approved in over 40 countries including the US, UK, and EU.
This launch expands GSK India's specialty medicine portfolio and opens a new growth segment in oncology, addressing a significant unmet need in women's cancer care. With endometrial and ovarian cancer cases projected to rise 78% and 69% respectively by 2045 in India, the launch positions GSK to capture share in a high-growth therapeutic area, potentially supporting long-term revenue diversification.
