Global Health Limited (Medanta) has approved acquisition of a 79-bedded Cancer Care Hospital in Indore from Asian Institute of Oncology Private Limited for Rs. 30 crores. The target hospital, currently operated by AIOPL, had turnover of Rs. 19.9 million in FY 2024-25. Medanta's existing capacity is 3,579 beds as of March 31, 2026. The hospital is located just 500 meters from Medanta's existing Indore facility and is purpose-built for oncology services. The acquisition will be funded through internal accruals and debt funding, with expected completion before September 30, 2026 subject to statutory approvals.
This acquisition adds 79 beds (~2.2% increase) and strengthens Medanta's oncology portfolio in Indore, creating operational synergies through proximity to the existing facility. The transaction is not a related party deal and expands the company's tertiary/quaternary care services.
