Global Surfaces Board approved shutting down its Bagru natural stone unit effective March 31, 2026, due to sustained financial and cash losses, capacity under-utilisation, and weak market conditions. Bagru contributed 8.94 percent of FY25 revenue and 5.14 percent of net worth. Assets may be sold. The Board also approved converting a Rs 50 Crore loan to its Dubai subsidiary Global Surfaces FZE into equity to strengthen its balance sheet. Q3 FY26 standalone revenue fell sharply to Rs 10.22 Crore from Rs 16.51 Crore in Q2. Consolidated loss for the quarter was Rs 3.34 Crore.
Bagru closure may lift margins long term but signals weak demand. Poor Q3 results and subsidiary losses remain concerns for shareholders.
