On the reaction day the stock moved 6.4 pts more than Nifty Microcap 250 and 6.1 pts more than its Fast Moving Consumer Goods peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.

Godavari Biorefineries has launched a pilot project with ICT Mumbai that converts industrial CO2 emissions into Dimethyl Ether (DME), a clean-burning fuel that can replace LPG and diesel. The technology targets processing about 450 metric tons of CO2 per day. This is a research-stage pilot, not commercial production. GBL runs integrated biorefineries producing ethanol, sugar, and bio-based chemicals from sugarcane waste, operating across India with exports to 20 countries. The initiative recently won the K.V. Mariwala Award for industry-academia partnership for 2024.
Positive for long-term sustainability story, but pilot-stage project means no immediate revenue or earnings impact for shareholders.
