Godavari Biorefineries (GBL) has partnered with UK-based Synthomer to develop bio-based alternatives to fossil-based monomers. Synthomer will commercialise bio-based butyl acrylate using bio-based butanol produced by GBL. The collaboration supports demand for sustainable, lower-carbon raw materials and aligns with GBL's sustainability strategy. Synthomer is a London-listed global polymer supplier with around 3,900 employees.
Positive for long-term growth; partnership with a major global player strengthens bio-based chemicals business, though near-term financial impact is unclear.
