Godavari Biorefineries commenced a 200 KLPD corn/grain-based distillery at its Sameerwadi Unit on June 29, 2026. The project involves about Rs. 130 Cr investment, funded through internal accruals and debt. This adds to its existing 600 KLPD sugarcane-based capacity, which is currently at 41% utilization. The new facility gives dual-feedstock capability for resilient ethanol production and supports India's ethanol blending program.
Diversifies feedstock, strengthens ethanol supply. Rs.130 Cr capex via internal accruals and debt may pressure near-term returns.
