On the reaction day the stock moved 1.5 pts more than its Iron & Steel Products peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.

The Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board granted consent on 27 October 2026 to expand the company's steel melting shop at Siltara, Raipur, from 5.25 lakh to 5.75 lakh metric tonnes per annum. The expanded plant started operating immediately. All sponge iron produced will be used to make steel billets, which the company expects to improve operating margins.
Higher output and captive sponge iron use may improve operating margins and earnings. The stock impact will depend on utilization, pricing and operating costs.
