Grasim Industries board has approved Rs 3,094 Crore capex for Phase II Lyocell fibre capacity addition of 110K TPA at Harihar, Karnataka. This is on top of the 55K TPA Phase I expansion already under construction. Once complete by 2030, total Lyocell capacity will reach about 210K TPA. Existing CSF capacity utilisation is at 97 percent in FY26, showing strong demand. Funded via mix of internal accruals and debt. Total CSF capacity to cross 1 million TPA by 2030.
Major capacity expansion aligned with rising demand for sustainable fibres. Boosts long-term growth potential but adds to debt and capex commitments.
