Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited (GNFC) has informed the exchanges that Dr. T. Natarajan, IAS has stepped down as Managing Director effective December 29, 2025, following a Government of Gujarat order. Dr. Natarajan will continue on the Board as a Nominee Director representing the Finance Department, GoG. Shri Rajkumar Beniwal, IAS (2004 batch, Gujarat Cadre) has taken over as the new Managing Director on the same date. The new MD is a Mechanical Engineering graduate from IIT (BHU) with a Master's from Duke University and brings experience as former Collector of Mehsana and Ahmedabad, and Vice-Chairman/CEO of Gujarat Maritime Board. His appointment is subject to approval by the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and the Board. Both outgoing and incoming MDs are IAS officers appointed by the state government.
Since GNFC is a Gujarat government–controlled company and both leaders are IAS officers, the change is an administrative transition with likely minimal disruption to operations or strategy. Shareholders should note continuity on the Board as Dr. Natarajan remains as Nominee Director, and the stock is unlikely to react significantly to this routine leadership change.
