HBL Engineering Limited has accepted a domestic order worth Rs. 83.81 Crores (inclusive of 18% GST) from Patiala Loco Works (PLW), Punjab, a production unit of Indian Railways. The order covers supply, testing, and commissioning of On-board KAVACH equipment (Version 4.0), India's indigenous Automatic Train Protection system. The contract is to be completed on or before April 15, 2027. The company has confirmed there is no promoter interest in the awarding entity and the transaction is not a related party transaction.
This is a positive order win from a government (Indian Railways) customer and adds to HBL's order book in the railway signalling and safety segment. Continued KAVACH rollout by Indian Railways could translate into follow-on orders, supporting revenue visibility over the next 12-15 months.
