HCLSoftware, the software division of HCLTech, will acquire Wobby, a Belgium-based early-stage AI startup that builds AI data analyst agents for data warehouses. Total deal value is 4.5 million euros in cash, with 3 million paid at closing and 0.75 million each at the first and second anniversary. Acquirer is Actian Germany GmbH, a step-down subsidiary. Wobby reported 0.1 million euros revenue and a 0.3 million euros loss in 2024, with net worth of 1 million euros. Not a related party deal. Expected to close by February 2026, subject to Belgian FDI approval.
Small tuck-in deal worth about 50 million rupees. Adds agentic AI capabilities to HCLSoftware's Actian division. Financial impact is minimal given Wobby's tiny revenue base.
