Hindalco's US-based subsidiary Novelis has signed a subscription agreement with AV Minerals (Netherlands) N.V., another wholly owned Hindalco subsidiary that is also the sole shareholder of Novelis. Under the deal, AV Minerals will buy 13,33,333 Novelis common shares at $150 per share, totalling about $200 million (₹~1,700 crore). This is essentially an internal group-level capital infusion into Novelis from its parent holding company. Novelis has filed a Form 8-K with the US SEC to disclose the transaction.
