The board of Hindustan Adhesives approved its unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for Q1 FY26 (quarter ended 30 June 2025) on 14 August 2025. Revenue from operations rose to Rs. 6,639 lakhs from Rs. 6,406 lakhs in the same quarter last year, a modest growth of about 3.6%. Profit after tax jumped sharply to Rs. 375 lakhs (EPS Rs. 7.33) from Rs. 213 lakhs (EPS Rs. 4.16) in Q1 FY25, an increase of roughly 76%, driven by lower other expenses and stable finance costs. The company also increased its stake in Indonesian subsidiary PT. Bagla Group Indonesia from 51% to 100% by buying the remaining 49% from Bagla Polfilms Ltd, making it a wholly-owned subsidiary. Both subsidiaries (Bagla Technopack Pvt Ltd and PT. Bagla Group Indonesia) are yet to commence commercial production, so consolidated numbers mirror standalone results.
Strong profit growth and margin expansion in Q1 FY26 should be viewed positively by shareholders, though the topline growth is single-digit. The full acquisition of the Indonesian arm consolidates future overseas earnings, but since that subsidiary has not started production yet, the real benefit will depend on when commercial operations begin.
