On the reaction day the stock moved 0.5 pts less than Nifty 100 and 1.4 pts more than its Aerospace & Defense peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.

Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd board approved the appointment of Shri Anindya Biswas, DS and DG (Aero) at DRDO, as part-time official director or government nominee director. He replaces Dr K Rajalakshmi Menon whose nomination was withdrawn by the Ministry of Defence, effective 7 October 2026. Biswas brings over three decades of R&D experience at DRDO in missile systems, avionics, and indigenous weapon technologies.
Routine government nominee director rotation for a defence PSU. New appointee adds DRDO R&D expertise, mildly supportive for indigenous tech focus.
