HCC has secured an infrastructure contract worth approximately Rs. 1,662.27 crore from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for the construction of Phase IV of the Goregaon-Mulund Link Road (GMLR) in Mumbai. The contract was awarded to the Aakshya-HCC Joint Venture, in which HCC holds a 49% stake, making HCC's effective share around Rs. 814 crore. The scope includes building a 1,330-metre second-level flyover, a cloverleaf interchange, a 180-metre cable-stayed span, at-grade roads, and ramps. The project aims to improve east-west connectivity in Mumbai and is part of BMC's larger GMLR corridor plan.
This is a sizable new order win for HCC's order book, with HCC's share alone representing a meaningful portion of annual revenue. Being a government (BMC) order, it offers relatively stable cash flows, though execution timelines for large urban infrastructure projects can be lengthy and dependent on clearances and right-of-way.
