HPCL JV HRRL Rajasthan Refinery commences commercial operations

HPCL's joint venture HPCL Rajasthan Refinery Limited (HRRL) has commenced commercial operations on 22nd June 2026. The Crude Distillation Unit and other downstream units of the greenfield Rajasthan Refinery are now operational. Lead banker State Bank of India has confirmed and taken on record the Actual Date of Commencement of Commercial Operations as declared under the Rupee Term Loan Facility Agreement. This follows an earlier update dated 18th June 2026 on the start of operations. HPCL called it a major milestone and thanked the Ministry of Petroleum, central and Rajasthan state governments, and all partners and stakeholders for their support.
Major positive milestone. Rajasthan Refinery was a long-pending flagship project. Commercial operations will add refining capacity and boost revenue and margins.
