Hyundai Motor India reported FY26 revenue of INR 707,633 Mn, up 2.3% YoY, with Q4 revenue at INR 189,162 Mn growing 5.4% YoY. However, profitability declined as PAT fell to INR 54,315 Mn (down 3.7% YoY) for FY26 and INR 12,556 Mn for Q4 (down 16% YoY). EBITDA margin compressed significantly to 12.2% for FY26 from 12.9% in FY25, with Q4 margins at just 10.4% versus 14.1% a year ago. The company celebrated 30 years in India, commenced Pune plant operations, and achieved record domestic sales and exports. The Board recommended a dividend of INR 21 per share. Management guided for 8-10% volume growth in FY27 with EBITDA margins expected in the 11-14% range.
Modest revenue growth with declining profitability and margin compression may concern investors focused on earnings quality, though strong product pipeline and capacity expansion plans provide medium-term growth visibility.
