ICICI Bank reported Q2 FY27 profit after tax of ₹14,843 crore, up 20.1 percent year on year. Net interest income rose 17.7 percent, core operating profit 21.8 percent, loans 30 percent and deposits 27.1 percent. The net bad-loan ratio improved to 0.30 percent. Net interest margin fell to 4.18 percent due to foreign currency deposits. Management expects a small further decline in Q3, followed by recovery.
Strong profit, loan growth and lower bad loans support the outlook, though margin pressure from costly foreign currency funding may weigh on near-term sentiment.
