On the reaction day the stock moved 2.2 pts less than Nifty Midcap 150 and 1.3 pts less than its Private Sector Bank peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Q2 FY27 profit after tax rose 196.5% year on year to Rs 1,045 crore; H1 profit was Rs 2,120 crore, up 160.1%. Net interest income rose 21% to Rs 6,184 crore. Loan assets grew 30.1% to Rs 3,46,913 crore and deposits 25.9% to Rs 3,48,583 crore. Gross and net bad loans improved to 1.32% and 0.40%. Net interest margin fell 32 basis points to 5.58% after loans backed by foreign currency deposits, but management expects 5.80% by Q4 FY27.
Strong profit growth and better loan quality support the stock, but lower margins and a falling low-cost deposit share are near-term concerns.
