Schaeffler India has inaugurated a new greenfield manufacturing plant at SIPCOT Industrial Park, Phase IV, Shoolagiri, Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu on May 28, 2025. The facility will add a peak capacity of 1.6 million units, expected to be achieved over the mid-term (3–5 years). Total investment for the plant is approximately INR 3,300 million (around Rs. 330 crore), funded entirely from internal accruals (own generated funds). The rationale is to cater to rising market demand with an innovative and sustainable production setup.
This is a positive capacity-expansion move funded entirely from internal cash flows, with no debt impact. It signals growth ambitions and rising demand visibility, but the capacity ramp will be gradual over 3–5 years, so near-term financial impact will be limited.
