India Shelter Finance Corporation (a housing finance company) reported strong Q1 FY26 results. Total revenue from operations grew about 43.6% year-on-year to Rs. 360.93 crore (from Rs. 251.27 crore in Q1 FY25). Profit after tax rose about 43% to Rs. 119.23 crore (from Rs. 83.33 crore). Basic EPS jumped to Rs. 11.05 vs Rs. 7.78 a year ago. Asset quality remained healthy with Gross NPA at 1.24% and Net NPA at 0.95%. Debt-equity ratio stood at 1.84x and liquidity coverage ratio at 161.86%. Statutory auditor S.R. Batliboi & Associates LLP issued an unmodified (clean) review opinion. The Board also approved raising up to Rs. 1,000 crore through Non-Convertible Debentures via private placement or public issue.
Strong top-line and bottom-line growth with stable asset quality is positive for shareholders. The Rs. 1,000 crore NCD plan signals continued business expansion, though it could add to leverage (already at 1.84x debt-equity). Overall, results are likely to be viewed favorably by the market.
