Indian Bank Q1 FY27: Net profit Rs 3,273 cr, asset quality improves sharply

Indian Bank reported Q1 FY27 standalone net profit of Rs 3,273.09 cr, up 10 percent YoY from Rs 2,972.82 cr. Total income grew 11 percent to Rs 20,723.62 cr. Operating profit rose 16.5 percent to Rs 5,557 cr. Gross NPA improved sharply to 1.86 percent from 3.01 percent YoY, with Net NPA at 0.15 percent. Capital adequacy ratio stood strong at 17.58 percent. Consolidated PAT grew 47 percent to Rs 3,356 cr. Bank discontinued the Investment Fluctuation Reserve and transferred Rs 2,000 cr to Revenue Reserve per new RBI norms.
Steady profit growth with sharp asset quality improvement and strong capital position supports stable outlook for shareholders.
