Indian Hume Pipe Company has received two Letter of Intent/work orders through joint ventures totaling Rs. 461 Crores in company share. First, a Rs. 343 Crores share (out of Rs. 1,716.70 Crores total) for Bhagpur Lift Irrigation Scheme Stage 2 in Jalgaon, Maharashtra from Tapi Irrigation Development Corporation. Second, a Rs. 118 Crores share (out of Rs. 536.59 Crores total) for Ner Lift Irrigation Scheme in Satara, Maharashtra from Maharashtra Krishna Valley Development Corporation. Both projects have a 48-month construction period plus 5 years of operation and maintenance. The orders are from state government irrigation corporations, classified as domestic percentage rate contracts.
The combined order book of Rs. 461 Crores represents substantial new business through government irrigation projects. This significantly strengthens the company's order pipeline and should be positive for the stock given the scale of these infrastructure contracts.
