Indian Overseas Bank received its first credit rating from S&P Global Ratings. S&P assigned a long-term issuer credit rating of BBB with stable outlook and short-term rating of A2. The standalone credit profile is bbb-. S&P cited strong capital position, solid funding, and high likelihood of government support as key strengths. IOB plans to raise about 40 billion rupees via QIP before end of FY26 to reduce government stake from 92.4% to 75%.
