IRCTC announced that the Ministry of Railways has approved the resignation of Shri Sanjay Kumar Jain from the post of Chairman and Managing Director, effective 20 July 2026. He cited personal grounds. Orders giving additional charge of the CMD post to someone will be issued separately. In his resignation letter, Jain said the company progressed from Mini Ratna to Nav Ratna and from Schedule B to Schedule A status during his tenure, and he is committed to a smooth transition.
