IndiGrid has completed two acquisitions on June 24, 2025. It acquired 100% stake and management control of Koppal-Narendra Transmission Limited (KNTL), a power transmission asset in Karnataka with ~276 circuit km of lines and ~2,500 MVA capacity, for an enterprise value of up to ₹7,450 million. It also acquired 49% stake (with 100% management control) of ReNew Surya Aayan Private Limited (RSAPL), a 300 MW operational solar project in Rajasthan with a 25-year PPA with SECI at ₹2.37/unit, for an enterprise value of up to ₹14,300 million. Both deals were paid in cash and are related-party-free. The total EV across both acquisitions is up to ~₹21,750 million.
These acquisitions strengthen IndiGrid's portfolio by adding a stable revenue transmission asset and a long-term contracted solar power asset, supporting steady distributions to unitholders. The combined ~₹21,750 million outlay could modestly impact near-term leverage but is expected to be distribution-accretive over time, likely viewed positively by investors.
