IndusInd Bank reported audited financial results for FY2026. Standalone net profit declined sharply to Rs. 5,941.4 million from Rs. 25,755.4 million in FY2025, a drop of over 77%. The Q4 standalone result showed a net loss of Rs. 2,328.9 million. Total income grew to Rs. 53,467.9 million from Rs. 46,250.8 million year-on-year. Capital Adequacy Ratio improved to 16.20% (from 15.10%), well above regulatory minimum. Gross NPA ratio increased to 3.43% from 3.13%. The Board recommended a dividend of Rs. 1.50 per share (15%). Auditors issued unmodified opinions but included Emphasis of Matter notes regarding accounting discrepancies in derivatives (Rs. 1,959.98 crore), interest/fee income (Rs. 846.40 crore), and manual entries (Rs. 595 crore) identified during FY2025. The subsidiary Bharat Financial Inclusion Ltd received a qualified audit opinion on income recognition and governance issues.
Sharp profit decline and negative Q4 results may concern investors, though strong capital ratios provide comfort. The Emphasis of Matter notes on accounting issues and subsidiary governance problems add risk but management states no further financial impact is expected.
