IndusInd Bank reported Q4 FY26 net profit of ₹594 crores, a sharp recovery from a net loss of ₹2,329 crores in Q4 FY25. However, full-year FY26 net profit fell about 65% to ₹889 crores from ₹2,576 crores in FY25. Quarterly Net Interest Income grew strongly to ₹4,371 crores (from ₹3,048 crores), but full-year NII declined to ₹17,982 crores from ₹19,031 crores. Total income for FY26 dropped to ₹53,480 crores from ₹56,358 crores, and core fee income fell sharply to ₹1,524 crores in Q4 from ₹2,304 crores a year ago. Asset quality worsened with Gross NPA rising to 3.43% (from 3.13%) and Net NPA to 1.00% (from 0.95%). Capital adequacy improved to 17.48% from 16.24%. The Bank also proposed appointing two new Executive Directors and a new Chief Compliance Officer.
The Q4 bounce-back from a year-ago loss is encouraging, but the steep full-year profit decline, weaker asset quality, and shrinking advances and deposits signal ongoing stress. Investors may view the results as mixed — showing recovery in the latest quarter but with structural challenges still weighing on earnings and loan book growth.
