IndiGo signed an MoU with CFM International for 1,000 plus LEAP-1A engines to power 510 Airbus A320neo family aircraft, billed as the largest single LEAP order ever. The deal also covers CFM support for IndiGo's upcoming engine MRO facility and long-term spare parts supply. IndiGo's fleet currently exceeds 430 aircraft, with 375 in the A320/321 family operating about 2,200 daily flights. Management says this supports its next growth phase, reliability and predictable costs.
Locks in engine supply and MRO support for large-scale fleet expansion; positive signal for growth, reliability and cost stability.
