IPCA Laboratories plans to sell its Ankleshwar drug intermediates and bulk drugs manufacturing unit to Suleshvari Pharma on a slump sale basis for Rs 22.15 crore. The unit earned Rs 50.24 crore in the year ended March 2025, or 0.74% of company income, and had a written-down asset value of Rs 15.80 crore. Completion is targeted by December 31, 2025, subject to approvals. The sale aims to cut costs and will not change shareholding.
The sale may lower operating costs and simplify operations, while IPCA says it will have no material effect on its business or financials.
