IPCA Laboratories will sell its Ankleshwar unit making drug intermediates and active ingredients, along with related assets, to Suleshvari Pharma for Rs 22.15 crore in cash. The unit generated Rs 50.24 crore, or 0.74% of FY2025 income, against a written-down asset value of Rs 15.80 crore. The sale aims to cut operating costs. Completion is planned by December 31, 2025, subject to approvals and GIDC consent.
The small unit is not expected to materially affect earnings. Cost savings may help margins, but completion needs approvals and GIDC consent.
