On the reaction day the stock moved 0.4 pts more than Nifty Smallcap 250 and 1.8 pts more than its Civil Construction peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Ircon International has received a work order worth about Rs 187.08 crore (excluding GST) from Kerala State IT Infrastructure Ltd. (KSITIL), a domestic government entity. The order involves the construction of a Dedicated Rural Industrial Park in Thiruvananthapuram District on an item-rate works contract basis. The project is to be completed within 30 months from the date of award. The contract is not a related-party transaction, and no promoter or group company has any interest in KSITIL. The order was disclosed on 5th May 2025 under SEBI's Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations.
This is a moderate-sized domestic order that adds to Ircon's order book but is unlikely to materially move the stock given it represents only a small slice of the company's annual revenue. It reinforces the company's presence in state-level infrastructure projects beyond its core railway and central government work.
