Ircon International has received a Letter of Acceptance from North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO), a Government of India PSU under the Ministry of Power, for civil construction works of the Tato-I Hydro Electric Project in Arunachal Pradesh. The scope covers headworks, head race channel, intake, head race tunnel, surge shaft, pressure shaft, valve house, power house and allied infrastructure. The total contract value is ₹458.14 crore including all applicable taxes and duties. The project is to be executed over 45 months. The order is domestic, and there is no related party interest in the awarding entity.
This ₹458 crore government order strengthens Ircon's order book and provides revenue visibility over the next ~3.75 years. As a PSU-to-PSU contract, counterparty and payment risks are relatively low, and it reinforces the company's footprint in India's northeast hydro power segment.
