The board of IRIS Business Services Limited, at its meeting on June 20, 2025, approved the appointment of Mr. Balachandran Krishnan as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective June 21, 2025. Mr. Krishnan, who is already a Co-founder and Whole-Time Director of the company, will additionally hold the CFO's charge until a suitable candidate is identified. He brings over 34 years of experience across research, regulatory technology, and financial leadership, and has previously worked at Tata Economic Consultancy Services and CRISIL. He holds a Chemical Engineering degree and an MBA from IIM Bangalore.
This is a leadership continuity move — the existing co-founder is taking on the CEO role, which should bring stability for shareholders. However, the absence of a permanent CFO and one person holding both CEO and CFO roles may raise some governance concerns among investors.
