Jindal Steel's subsidiary Jindal Paradip Port Limited (JPPL) commenced commercial operations of its Phase I port capacity of 12.5 MTPA at Paradip Port, Odisha on October 15, 2026, ahead of the scheduled completion date. The full project has 25 MTPA capacity across two phases. Total project cost is Rs. 3,393 Cr, with JSPL investing only Rs. 258.25 Cr as equity. The BOT concession with Paradip Port Authority is funded through debt, equity, and promoter support. The move secures dedicated long-term port access for JSPL's raw material and finished goods logistics.
Positive. Dedicated port access should improve supply chain reliability and lower logistics costs for JSPL over the long term.
