On the reaction day the stock moved 1.6 pts less than Nifty Microcap 250 and 1.4 pts less than its Cement & Cement Products peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Board approved an upward revision in capex for the Durg cement plant expansion. Project cost raised from Rs 2,500 Crore to Rs 3,000 Crore (20 percent rise) to include additional equipment and railway sidings at split-location grinding units. Project to complete in phases by March 2028. Post-completion, clinker capacity will grow from 10 MTPA to 12.3 MTPA and cement capacity from 18 MTPA to 22.6 MTPA.
Extra Rs 500 Cr spend may pressure near-term returns, but 25 percent capacity addition supports long-term growth and earnings.
