Board approved 2 million tonnes a year of slag grinding capacity at Vijayanagar for ₹509 crore by May 2028, and a 2 million tonne grinding mill at Dolvi for ₹569 crore by October 2028. Spend is ₹1,078 crore, funded by internal funds and debt. September-quarter consolidated revenue was ₹1,912.15 crore and profit ₹77.63 crore, versus ₹75.36 crore last year. It also approved a guarantee of up to ₹60 crore for subsidiary JSW Green Cement.
Funding raises finance costs and execution risks, while capacity growth may lift sales. Profit was nearly flat year on year despite higher revenue.
