On the reaction day the stock moved 2.5 pts less than Nifty Midcap 150 and 1.8 pts less than its Power Generation peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.

JSW Energy added 1,166 MW of renewable and 300 MW of thermal capacity since April 2026, the thermal part coming via the Maruti Clean Coal and Power acquisition. Total installed capacity now stands at 14,920 MW, with renewables making up 60 percent of the portfolio. The company has already crossed 94 percent of its FY26 organic capacity addition and remains on track for its 3 GW greenfield target for FY27, with a long-term goal of 30 GW by 2030.
Positive - meaningful growth in operating capacity, cleaner energy mix, and visibility on FY27 greenfield targets should support earnings and valuation.
