JSW Energy commissioned its first green hydrogen plant at JSW Steel's Vijayanagar facility in Karnataka, described as India's largest. It will supply 3,800 tonnes per year of green hydrogen and 30,000 tonnes of green oxygen to JSW Steel under a seven-year agreement. It is part of a government hydrogen allocation of 6,800 tonnes. A signed understanding targets 85,000-90,000 tonnes of hydrogen and 720,000 tonnes of oxygen annually by 2030.
Positive: commissioning adds a clean-energy project with a seven-year customer agreement. Revenue and profit impact were not disclosed.
