JSW Energy's subsidiary JSW Thermal Energy has ordered two 800 MW steam turbine generators from associate Toshiba JSW for Phase II of the Salboni Thermal Project in West Bengal. This completes turbine-generator equipment orders for the entire 3,200 MW (4x800 MW) project, after Phase I orders placed in January 2026. JSW Energy has 5,958 MW operational thermal capacity and 5,000 MW under construction, with total locked-in generation capacity of 32.4 GW.
Secures key equipment for largest single-location thermal asset, strengthening execution visibility towards 30 GW capacity target by 2030.
