JSW Energy, through its step-down subsidiary Energizent Power Private Limited, has signed a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement with government-owned NHPC Limited for 300 MW of ISTS-connected Solar-Wind Hybrid capacity. The tariff has been fixed at ₹3.49 per KWh, and the project will be located in Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh with expected commissioning within 24 months. This adds to JSW Energy's total locked-in generation capacity of 29.9 GW (12.5 GW operational, 12.8 GW under construction, and 4.6 GW pipeline), supporting the company's target of 30 GW generation capacity by FY 2030.
This is a long-term, tariff-backed contract with a credible government counterparty (NHPC), providing revenue visibility for 25 years and supporting JSW Energy's renewable energy expansion plans. The order size is modest relative to the company's 29.9 GW pipeline, so it is incrementally positive rather than a major catalyst for the stock.
