JSW Neo Energy, JSW Energy's wholly owned subsidiary, signed an agreement with Druk Green Power Corporation (Bhutan's government utility) to develop the 920 MW Punatsangchhu-III Hydroelectric Project in Bhutan on a BOOT basis. The JV will be incorporated in Bhutan with DGPC holding 51% and JSW Neo Energy 49%. Initial contribution is BTN 245 million. This is JSW Energy's first power generation venture outside India, strengthening its 1,781 MW operational hydro portfolio.
Positive: first overseas venture adds clean dispatchable capacity to support 30 GW target by 2030, though 49% minority stake and Bhutan execution risk remain.
