Jumbo Bag Limited reported its Q3 FY26 results with revenue from operations of Rs. 2,852.98 lakhs, down about 14% from Rs. 3,318.65 lakhs in the same quarter last year. Despite the revenue fall, net profit after tax jumped to Rs. 176.35 lakhs from Rs. 103.65 lakhs a year ago, a roughly 70% rise. For the nine-month period, PAT surged to Rs. 713.30 lakhs from Rs. 209.38 lakhs, helped by an exceptional item of Rs. 150 lakhs and lower raw material costs. Basic EPS stood at Rs. 2.06 for the quarter versus Rs. 1.24 last year. The manufacturing segment saw weaker sales but better margins, while the polymer trading segment remained stable. The statutory auditor DPV & Associates issued an unmodified limited review report with no qualifications.
Mixed signals for shareholders: top-line is shrinking but profitability has improved sharply on better cost control, though part of the 9-month PAT boost comes from a one-time exceptional gain. Watch for whether the margin gains can hold if revenue continues to slide.
