Juniper Hotels board approved acquiring Novotel Imagicaa, a 287-room operating hotel in Khopoli near Mumbai and Pune, from Imagicaaworld Entertainment for Rs 248 crore in cash, about Rs 86 lakh per key. The property spans 11 acres with around 2.8 lakh sq ft built-up area, including restaurants, banquet and meeting facilities. The deal is not a related party transaction. Expected completion is by March 31, 2027. Company plans to rebrand the asset into the upper-upscale segment to drive higher revenue.
Adds a cash-generating 287-key asset in the Mumbai-Pune leisure corridor. Positive for growth; watch funding, debt impact and timely closure.
