For the September quarter, income was Rs 6.53 crore versus Rs 5.58 crore last year, while net profit rose to Rs 1.49 crore from Rs 0.40 crore. For the half year, income was Rs 15.21 crore versus Rs 12.89 crore and profit was Rs 3.00 crore versus Rs 1.43 crore; cash operating margin improved. The quarter included an Rs 88.15 lakh earlier-year tax credit, so much of the profit jump was tax-led. Operating cash flow was positive at Rs 3.17 crore.
The profit jump may support the stock, but it was largely tax-led; the quarterly cash operating margin narrowed and sales fell from the June quarter.
